As part of the ongoing reinvention of Portobello Road Market I was challenged with the creation of a brand new website for Acklam Kitchen.
To provide a vital, modern web presence and allow food vendors to enquire about joining online.

We quickly got down to chatting about the scope of the project and it was made clear that it was time sensitive. I proposed that a streamlined two page website would be the best approach whilst delivering everything the client wanted.
Over the next few days, we produced the copy needed for the website which I broke down into sections. The client also had access to a brilliant videographer who was commissioned to produce a promotional video that we could use on the website.
With the copy in place, I designed lo-fi mockups in Adobe XD to establish the rough arrangement of information and visuals.
With the client happy with the blueprints, we went on to gather visual content and I created a colour palette that complemented their existing branding and conveyed the feeling of warmth and authenticity found at the market.
I went on to produce a high fidelity prototype, which the client was really happy with. Referencing that, I built the website from scratch using HTML, CSS & JavaScript. I generally don't use themes as I believe the best solution for each project is a tailored approach that is unique from start to finish.
